Background

Founded EDN Consulting in 2017 to offer outsourced finance and advisory services to entrepreneurs, privately held companies, and private equity portfolio companies. Emmett has worked with small to medium-sized businesses for the entirety of his career spanning investment banking, private credit, private equity, as well as upstream oil and gas investments.

During his time in private equity, Emmett developed an affinity for working alongside management teams at portfolio companies as an extra set of hands to implement financial process improvement and strategic plan execution. EDN was founded to offer corporate finance and advisory expertise that is typically not available to smaller businesses on an in-house or full-time hire basis, and to introduce the upgraded tools, processes, and playbook that typically follow private equity investment in businesses. In addition, EDN was also created to serve as an extension of investment firm deal teams and management teams and provide additional bandwidth to accelerate execution of transactions and post-closing value creation initiatives.

Emmett’s advisory and investment experience encompasses a broad range of industries including technology-enabled services, telecommunications, software, industrial services and manufacturing, upstream oil and gas, food and beverage, consumer products, government services, media, and healthcare.
